Why is my computer running slow? It is a question often asked, not just by you, but by many people who constantly use computers. Here, you can learn about the various reasons why it does so, and what you can do to stop the problem. From application use to background programs running, you can easily tackle this problem.

You know how frustrating it is for your computer to be running slow when you want to work fast. It is a common problem. The worldwide community of computer users is faced with this problem. So in case your computer is running slow, do not panic. There are a few reasons why it does so. Now, let us consider a few important reasons.

Maybe you have a lot of applications running at the same time. That is an assumption.  However, it is one reason why many computers run slowly. Go to cybercafés and you will see that people come and go and at the end of the day when the attendant wants to close shop, he discovers that a lot of window browsers are open. Too much windows working at the same time can bog down your operating system.

Secondly, make sure that you have not installed too many applications on your computer. Check frequently and uninstall any program that is hardly ever used, as that could take up a lot of space on your computer. Before you download any program or software on your computer, make sure that there is ample space for it.

Your browser could be running faster. That does not matter. Many other background apps run when the system is booting. They can cause your computer to run slow.

Even though you see a single browser opened, you could be having many programs running at the background. Kill them! But before you do, you have to know what each of the applications is doing. Some of them cannot be killed because if you do, the computer may not work at all. Just right-click in the system tray and see what benefits the applications are doing to you or your computer.

So do not be quick to think of replacing your computer. Do not think that installing a kind of cleaner software will do the magic. Unless you reduce the amount of programs running at the same time or free up space on the hard disk, your computer will continue to run slow.

What if you want to do more? Then get a faster computer. Get a laptop or desktop computer with a bigger ram. Get a faster CPU, get a faster APU, GPU, or whatever you think of in the way of being large.

Not all of us do the same amount of work on our computers. Computer graphic designers store a lot of stuff on their computers and need massive space. If such people work with low-memory computers, things will not go smoothly for them, hence the need for bigger space for everything they do on their computer.
