US Olympic training center – this 150 acre building is made in mind for training future Olympians and believe it or not, it has already sent athletes to Olympics since the time it was built in 95. With its free tours to facility, it gives children and adults as well the chance to have a quick talk to coaches/trainers and athletes every Tuesday. They are available on Saturday as well but only on call and only self-guided tours are allowed between 9am to 5pm.

Number 3. Old town state park – there are free educational tours offered in this large park which is the location of the city’s original foundation. In this area, there are many buildings of interests but by far, the most favorite of children is the Whaley House.

San Diego public libraries – both San Diego county and city libraries offer great varieties of activities that are designed for children and is the ideal option for days when you feel burnt out. There are also lots of branches that you can visit and each of it are offering different options including story time, crafts and arts, children’s movies and cartoons, creative writing and a lot more.

Number 5. Sea World fireworks – one of the best things to do in San Diego is the fireworks as you can get to see them for free and in a good viewing area. You can catch these shows from April to September on Sea World.
