Nigerian media is responding to the news that craftsman Kehinde Wiley has been appointed to paint the official picture of previous US President Barack Obama.
Naij.com called the move to pick the craftsman of Nigerian legacy “inspiring”.
Punch depicts Wiley’s craft as having “rich, profoundly soaked shading palette” including that “his utilization of enriching designs supplement his sensible, yet expressive, resemblances”.
The Smithsonian reported the choice a week ago.
The historical center clarified that toward the finish of every administration it partnered with the White House to commission one authority picture of the President and one of his companion.
The two representations will be revealed at the exhibition hall in mid 2018.
