Nigeria’s economy has been riding in a stormy weather for several months. Things came to a head in the second quarter of 2016, when the economy slipped into recession and since then, it has been struggling to swim out of the murky waters. While there are estimations by local and international analysts, International Monetary Fund and even government on the time, when the economy would exit the recession, the federal government has continued to implement an expansionary budget to spend its way out of recession.
