CBN Anchor Borrowers Program benefits 78,000 rice farmers


No less than 78,000 rice ranchers in Kebbi State have profited from the CBN’s Anchor Borrowers Program (ABP), an authority of Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria (RIFAN) in the state has said.

Rice agriculturists were given credits and different information sources, for example, compost, pesticides, seeds, and water pumps for water system.

Sahabi praised the program, saying it had helped ranchers gain benefit and increment rice generation in the state.

He clarified that 5,000 farmers connected to Labana Rice Mills, an indigenous rice processing organization in the state profited from the program.
